Two things I’ve never been able to get enough of is pottery and table lamps… every room in my home has at least three lamps and well pottery…i’ve lost count. It will come as no surprise then that i’m a sucker for craft inspired pottery table lamps – rustic lamps, mid-century lamps, glossy glazed lamps, chalky lamps I love them all. Here’s 10 of my current favourites…
1. Black and White Mini Lamp $480, Victoria Morris Pottery

An exercise in elegance and restraint this chalky oversized lamp base is full of pastoral charm. Covered in ash-encrusted crackle glaze with a killer olive green band its the perfect marriage of the rustic and the refined. Buy it here.
4. Tenmoku Glaze Lamp Base £75, Made In Cley
This glossy jet black lamp base is made along with other brightly glazed pieces out of a potters co-operative in the sea-side town of Cley in Norfolk. I love how the gloss is thicker at the top and thins out towards the bottom pooling in the ridges and revealing the natural clay. Made in Cley

Inspired by 20th-century American and Scandinavian ceramics, this collection of lamps made in the Catskills use lovingly crafted and sourced components to assemble them. Ceramic bases are slip-cast in the studio where glazes are also developed and local woodworkers hand-turn the walnut necks and bases. The lamps here are seen in ‘Charcoal’. Buy them here.

The generous and angular base of this lamp from West Elm just makes me want to give it a big hug! With a turned wood neck, a lovely ridged body and drippy aqua glaze, it’s a winner! Buy it here.
